19th Hole is an energetic eight piece ska-rock band from Ventura, CA. The band started out as a bunch of friends playing in a garage; it eventually turned into something lucrative. Theyve secured a line-up consisting of: a guitarist, a bassist, a drummer, a keyboardist, a singer, a tenor sax player, an alto sax player, and a trumpet player.
19th Hole has been playing shows for about a year. They have shared the stage with acts such as: The Specials, The Hippos, Laurel Aitken, The Untouchables, New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble, Toots and the Maytals, Riverfenix (FenixTX), Mobtown, Jeffries Fan Club, Let's Go Bowling, Regatta 69, Telegraph, and Rx Bandits! They are also featured in an independent film, "Single Ones", that will be appearing at the Sundance Film Festival! Needless to say these guys rule!
Ranging from Juniors in High School to Juniors in college, 19th Hole keeps a GPA of 3.0, a clean-cut look and an upbeat attitude. For more info go to www.irth.net/19thhole.
Band members: Joseph Mun, the guitarist, is 17 and a senior at Buena High School. He doesnt move on stage so they get the crowd to laugh at him.
Kai Dodson, the bassist, is 18 and a freshman at Ventura College. Live, he makes the background noise.
Scott Quintana, the drummer, is 16 and a junior at Buena High School. The newest member and he rocks because he played a show after being in the band for a week.
Deanna Miller, the keyboardist, is 18 and a sophomore at Ventura College. She is the only female in the band so she has to put up with the stupid boy shit.
Don Morris, the singer/trumpet player, is 19 and works full-time at the butcher block at Albertsons. He was the final piece to the 19th Hole puzzle.
Chad Long, the tenor sax player, is 16 and a junior at Ventura High School. He is so tall he scares the other members.
Nathaniel Morgan, the alto sax player, is 15 and a sophomore at Ventura High School. He is amongst the best sax players of his age group.
Mike Parker, trumpet, is 17. He is the main writer of the horn music and will be attending Chico State in the Fall of 99 on a full-ride music scholarship.
