A. J. Brown

Born in Montego Bay, AJ Brown began singing ballads and reggae at an early age, primarily inspired by Bob Marley, Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Andrea Bocelli and Dennis Brown. His talent drew international attention in 1980 at a German talent contest where he won the trophy. Catapulted into the spotlight, AJ went on his first tour of Germany where he performed for audiences in Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, Dusseldorf and Frankfurt. He usually works outside the realms of reggae, including jazz, world beat, R&B, pop and classical. AJ also was featured on documentaries and commercials.
